Description

Article no.: 490-3840

The DSSM digital bodypack transmitter is the latest in the incredibly successful SM series of miniature transmitters. DSSM is part of the Lectrosonic digital ecosystem that includes D-Squared (DSQD), DCR822, DSR, DSR4, DCHR/DCHT and Duet.

DSSM comes in the A1 and B1 bands ranging from 470-614MHz in the E01 version. The new transmitter has new high efficiency circuitry and can operate up to 6h on its LB50 battery. The transmitter can transmit with 2 (HDM) 10.35mW transmit power. According to Lectrosonic's tests, 50mW with their digital transmission is equivalent to 125mW with an analog system. In addition, a new high density mode (HDM) allows 200kHz between channels, which means twice as many channels in the same spectrum. HDM transmits at 2mW, so this mode is best suited for systems that have the possibility of external antennas and RF gain structure, such as theater.
  • 100% digital audio and transmission, with extremely low noise floor

  • Frequency response: 35 to 20 kHz in D2 mode, 112 dB dynamic range with linear phase response

  • Longer battery life compared to older digital devices

  • High-pass files at 35, 50, 70, 100, 120 and 150 Hz

  • Selectable transmit power: 2 mW, 10 mW and 35 mW

  • HDM (High Density transmission Mode) with 200 kHz frequency spacing between transmitters

  • AES-256 CTR encryption with four different key policies.

  • Servo-bias on the microphone input, all "servo only" and "universal" wired mosquitoes and headsets with Lemo connector are compatible.
