CPAA-18 is Betso's flagship receiver antenna. The advantage of an antenna with circular polarization, compared to a regular shark fin or stick antenna that has line polarization, is a significantly better result in situations where there is no free field between the transmitter and receiver antenna.
The CPAA-18 has a built-in amplifier that can be adjusted from -9 to +18dB in steps of 1dB. In many cases, too strong a signal is as big a problem as too weak when it comes to RF and being able to lower the signal makes it much more likely that you will be able to get good reception.
