Description

WHAT IS PASSIVE WIFI?
Very simply, it means counting cell phones. By setting up a small wifi, all cell phones will ask that wifi for its name. The cell phone gets the name of the wifi if it gives some information. In this case, its ID (MAC address) and the signal strength of the Wi-Fi. This lets us know that a cell phone is there and how far away it is.

It's not quite that simple, but the basic principle is right. Unlike the other major method of counting people, using cameras, with passive wifi as a solution we can get the number of unique visitors and with higher privacy.

What will be the result then? A well done installation should give an accuracy of up to 95%. How to do that and how to check your numbers we will go through in the next part.

We recommend a system from Bluezoo. With this you will find out:
  • The number of people outside your store
  • The number of visits and unique visitors to your store
  • The number of visitors who have the opportunity to see your POCs or products
  • How visitors move between your POCs and products
