The AVN-DIO20 takes one MADI line, SRC-converts all 64 channels and places them in the Dante network using the Danta Controller. At the same time, you can patch 64 channels (and SRC-convert if you want) to the MADI output via the Dante Controller. The AVN-DIO20 accepts eight AES3 stereo channels, which if you choose to use them replace 16 of the MADI channels and likewise if you want to patch from the Dante Controller to the AES3 outputs it works fine, in blocks of 16.†
AVN-DIO20 accepts MADI signals either from a compatible SFP module or via the BNC input. The inputs can be selected via the built-in web GUI. If an SFP module is installed, the AVN-DIO20 will select it as default. The BNC input is completely disabled if the SFP module is used. A built-in fail-safe automatically switches over to BNC if the SFP signal disappears. Which provides completely glitch-free redundancy.†
The MADI output can be clocked either from the Dante network or from the MADI input.†
The AVN-DIO20 is powered via Power over Ethernet (PoE), via Neutrik EtherCONÆ connectors, with one primary and one secondary port for data and power redundancy. AVN-DIO20 uses the latest Audinate Dante? the chipset so it is AES67 and Dante Domain Manager compatible.
A web interface is available for network and device settings, as well as for status, information and firmware updates.
