Pocket QT is the longest boom in vdB's QT range. It is very suitable as a drama boom or in commercials where you need to get really far.†
This new model has an innovative solution to lock and open the boom by turning just a quarter of a turn . They achieved this by using extreme precision in the manufacturing process, something they can be proud of due to their thirty years of experience in supplying the most demanding sound engineers around the world.
The QT series is also backwards compatible with the classic range thanks to an unchanged tube diameter, making it possible to upgrade your old classic VDB booms with the new system.
Further new options are available, such as a removable metal quick-lock top screw that has an internal screw thread at the rear. The rubber heel has been improved, and last but not least, the carbon fiber has been renewed for better durability and thus an improved ratio between stiffness and lightness.
